Early 1900s Schumann China Plate, Arzberg Germany, Royal Cobalt Blue With Gold Leaf, Quail Birds, Scenic Print, Transfer Print
translation missing: en.products.product.regular_price
$ 54.00
Uncommon Schumann China plate done in a deep cobalt blue with a center transfer print. The scene is one of two young quails and native grasses.
The mark used on this plate began in 1918 according to 'Pictorial Guide to Pottery & Porcelain Marks' by Chad Lage, copyright 2004. It is also noted on the Porcelain Marks & More website that it was used in the 1960s although in blue. The green was used for the Forget me Not series also in the 60s. I personally think the look and feel and looking at their other china from the 60s that this period is older but I want to give all the information that I have and let you make up your own mind.
I would consider this plate rare for even a search of the internet does not turn one up.
ITEM: Plate / Platter
