MORE INFORMATION
Originally known as Jeannette Bottle Works Company, in 1889. It was not until the 1920s and the introduction of what we now refer to as Depression Glass that the company took off.

Depression glass was sold for a very low cost or often given away permitting women to set a beautiful table. It lifted their spirits and helped them to look forward to better times ahead. During this time, Jeannette Glass produced 14 patterns of dinnerware and glassware.

Crystal or clear Iris and Herringbone was first produced by Jeannette Glass in 1928, and forward into the Depression. It is correctly referred to as Depression Glass.

The iridescent Iris and Herringbone was not manufactured until the 1950s and thus it is not Depression Glass.

Jeannette Glass closed in 1983.
